Media Solstice Wins Telly Award For DA’s Office Opioid PSA Video

Media Solstice Marketing & Public Relations, an award-winning agency serving the Hudson Valley, has recently earned a Bronze Telly Award for its online promotional video work on behalf of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

The Telly Awards organization is the premier award honoring outstanding TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, web commercials, videos, and films since 1979.

“It’s a real honor for Media Solstice to have earned this recognition from such a well-respected organization,” said Media Solstice Founder and President Jessica Gardner. “Our success this year is a strong reflection on the talent and dedication of our entire team, particularly Creative Services Vice President Holly Covart, who directed the video production and editing process.”

Media Solstice created the concept for the powerful public awareness video to drive home the severity of prescription opiate abuse and its link to later addiction to heroin and other opiates. The video, produced in conjunction with videographer Jesse Brown of Digi Ranch, was just one part of the District Attorney’s Office’s “Connect 2 Disconnect” initiative. “Connect 2 Disconnect”, also developed by Media Solstice, focused on educating parents about how they can connect with their kids to break the connection between prescription drugs and heroin. The campaign, which was promoted countywide, featured posters, brochures, flyers, and an aggressive social media program.

Telly Award winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. This year alone, there were 13,000 entries from across the world.
