Media Solstice Marketing & PR Expands Its Design Team

Port Jervis, NY (November 10, 2015) – Media Solstice Marketing & Public Relations is pleased to welcome Luis Guadalupe to its growing team of marketing professionals.

Guadalupe, who joins Media Solstice as a junior graphic designer, earned his bachelor of fine arts in Studio Art (with a concentration on graphic design and printmaking) from SUNY Plattsburgh. As a senior at Plattsburgh, Guadalupe was selected to be the branding designer for the college’s 2015 B.F.A. Senior Exhibition, and created the event’s catalog, promotional collateral, and invitations.

Additionally, his personal artwork was exhibited as part of the event, and subsequently chosen for inclusion in the 2015 Best of SUNY Art Exhibition at the New York State Museum.

“Luis has a gift that allows him to combine the simple, contemporary beauty of digital design with the more raw characteristics of handcrafted work,” said Holly Covart, vice president of Creative Services and Production at Media Solstice. “Luis’s fresh approach to design, coupled with his passion for typography and illustration, has added something very special to our work.”

Guadalupe, a Fort Montgomery native, spent a year interning as an assistant graphic designer for The Saranac Review, and contributed to the creation of the literary magazine’s 11th issue. He was also a member the Plattsburgh Association of the Visual Arts, and helped to design its promotional materials.
